This is an analysis of Peter Zumthor's Therme Vals Spa in Vals, Switzerland. It was a precedent study for the conceptual design of a Spa that would have been located in the in downtown Miami, Florida.
I tried to analyze materiality, light and procession. Great detail went in to creating assemblies for the Quartz slabs that seamlessly become wall/facade/floor is amazing.
